‘Sot News’ is a daily newspaper. It started publication in 2002 and today also publishes online through its webpage www.sot.com.al. The newspaper claims to have a circulation of 7500 copies per day. The newspaper was at the center of a media storm, when it published ahead of the local elections in 2007 a series of nude of photos of current Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the time incumbent mayor of Tirana. The publisher Prodani defended the decision to publish the photos by claiming that as mayor Edi Rama had no private life and rejected accusation that the decision was politically motivated.

A year later Arjan Prodani bought the shares of Shkelqim Prodani, Arben Mece and Sokol Kosova, controlling 91 % of the company.

Arjan Prodani – entered the construction business in 1996, when together with his brother he founded the company Prodani Construction LLC. In October 2002, he founded the media company Sot+, and published the newspapers ‘Sot’ and ‘Kerko dhe Gjen’ – together with four other shareholders. A year later he consolidated ownership in the company and bought 91% of shares. Prodani also owns the design and print company Classic Print and the import export company Red & Black. In 2003 he founded as the sole owner the company Sot News LLC, which today publishes the daily newspaper ‘Sot News’, in print and its online version.
